Do I Have Room for an Island?

Whether it houses the hob, or has a seating area, kitchen islands can be a very practical centre piece of the room.

Including an island makes cooking more sociable as food can be prepped while others sit with you. But do you have room for one?

We recommend a distance of 800-1200mm between the island and surrounding units, with 1000mm being the ideal space. Bear in mind stool positioning as you don’t want them in the way while cooking.

You don’t need a big island for it to work! Small islands also look great and can get in some extra storage space too!
