Gloss Vs. Matt

Stuck choosing between matt and gloss door finishes? These points may help you to decide:

Gloss gives a more contemporary feel. It is light reflective, which will make the kitchen look brighter and feel bigger. Darker colours will also reflect light rather than absorb it. Gloss is easy to clean – just wipe with a damp cloth. No special treatments are needed. Although they reflect light and create a spacious feeling, gloss doors show fingerprints more than matt doors do, so while cleaning is easy it may need to be done more often.

Matt doors give a clean, simplistic look. There is less going on with reflections and light hitting the surface. Matt finishes are also much easier to clean than a woodgrain finish, and mark, scratches and fingerprints are not as noticeable as on gloss.
